Do You Risk Ingesting Lead, Mercury, and PCBs by Eating Fish? I remember when I was young, we used to eat several meals of fish each and every week. We would have boiled fish with white sauce. We had fish pie, and of course we had fish and chips or French fries. It seemed like we were eating fish a lot, but we liked it. Just the other day, I made a meat and potato patty, just like we used to get from the local Chinese fish shop. But I digress. However these days we can no longer afford to be eating fish so much. This is because of the pollution in our oceans and in our fish. These contaminants, like the title suggests are lead, mercury and the PCBs. They are all dangerous heavy metals and toxins. The PCBs especially cause cancer, and they take several hundreds of years to break down. The only method of getting rid of these commercial contaminants is by molecular distillation. Some shady companies will tell you that their oil does not need to undergo this process Rigid flex PCB, as their oil is fresh. Do not buy from these cowboys. Even fish oil from the pristine waters around New Zealand needs to be molecularly distilled. The company that I buy my fish oil from produces their oil from Hoki, a fish native to the waters around New Zealand, ( I was eating fish called Hoki Rigid flex, when I was in New Zealand.) and Tuna fish. The process that they use to make their oil, gives them a unique blend of fish oil, that has double the anti-inflammatory properties of other highly concentrated oils. Apart from the fact we can no longer afford to be eating fish in such huge amounts, I recommend that you check out the company that you are going to be buying your fish oil from to see whether the oil is fresh. You do this by checking to see that the fish are landed close to where the oil is processed. Some companies buy their oil by the tanker load from overseas, this oil is not always fresh.
