The fixed pin assignment ensures that ESMexpress modules remain interchangeable. A board management operator supervises temperature and strength consumption. The included Insyde Water EFI BIOS is configurable for the final software.

ESMexpress, currently in development while ANSI-VITA 59, RSE Rugged System-On-Module Express, combines advanced cooling techniques, the newest serial buses and rugged components with the SOMs model (also known as computers-on-modules or COMs). SOMs are complete personal computers on a mezzanine board that use a typical CPU with I/O configuration just required on a carrier panel to allow for individual functionality customized to the specific application.

ESMexpress is for extreme resistance against shock and vibration China Prototype PCB. Modules are firmly secured to the board along with eight screws and come with rugged industry-proven connectors supporting substantial frequency and differential signals. All ESMexpress modules support a single Ninety five mm x 125 millimeter form factor.

Via an adaptor board that complies while using COM.0 Basic Form Factor Type 2 and also adapts the mechanics and pin-out, ESMexpress modules can be used on Org Express carrier boards along with vice versa.

Pricing for the XM2 ESMexpress module starts off at $ 1,911. Shipping and delivery is six weeks ARO.
